Over 26 years a couple of fun loving gentleman ventured to Tri Cities to follow their dream of setting up a great coupon business called, "First-Class Dining Club". It was May of 1980, right when the mountain blew. For those of you who are familiar with the history of Mount St. Helens ash across Washington State; these two gentlemen were almost dusted out of Tri Cities. When the ash settled, they signed up their first business participant. It was card style and in a small case, but quickly outgrew its format and location. The coupons may have started in the east but have touched customers as far south as Eugene. Years after the "First-Class Dining Club" began it was sold to a local in Clark County who renamed it the "Original Dining Club". The savings now reside here in Clark County and Cowlitz County in its current 'book' format, with special discounts for the Washington and Oregon Coasts.
